Q: For those who don't know, tell us about your business

A: Our mission at Precision Aim Tactical & Defense is to build a safer, more responsible firearms community by providing clear, thorough training that empowers every gun owner with the knowledge and confidence needed to protect themselves, their families, and their freedoms

Q: Tell us the story behind how you started your business. What inspired you to take the leap?

A: I started Precision Aim Tactical & Defense because I saw a real need for better, more meaningful firearms training. After sitting through an eight-hour concealed carry course with very little hands-on practice, I left feeling unprepared—as did others in the class. With my background in education, I knew training should be practical, engaging, and focused on real understanding—not just checking a box. That inspired me to create a program where students truly grasp safe handling, legal responsibilities, and everyday carry realities. Many who have since taken our course for a refresher or to support family tell me how different and better it feels compared to other places. My goal has always been to empower every gun owner with real confidence and knowledge, not just get them through a class.

Q: Describe your business in your own words. What makes it unique?

A: Precision Aim Tactical & Defense is all about helping people feel safe, confident, and prepared when it comes to firearm use and safety. What makes us unique is that we go beyond just teaching how to shoot—we focus on real‑life readiness, the “why” behind each skill, and creating a welcoming space where people know they’re supported

Q: What were some of the biggest challenges you faced early on, and how did you overcome them?

A: One of the toughest parts early on was simply pushing through the uncertainty and those moments when things didn’t go as planned. There were also challenges from people who didn’t want to see us succeed, which made perseverance even more important. Staying focused, leaning on support from mentors and community, and being willing to adapt helped us overcome those obstacles

A: We’ve been fortunate to have encouragement and support from many people, whether through advice, spreading the word, or simply cheering us on. That network has been a big part of helping us keep going.

A: Our goal is to help people feel more confident and prepared—not just in the moment, but in everyday life. We want everyone who trains with us to know they have the skills and support to face challenges and belong to a supportive community
